The Wild Flower Conservation Society is a charity group based in Stanmer Park, Brighton, that is dedicated to promoting the conservation of chalk grasslands by producing a wide range of wild flowers in order to repopulate the declining number of species. Our efforts are made possible by volunteers gathering, processing and propagating locally handpicked wild flower seeds. Our goal is to increase the biodiversity of our green spaces, bring people closer to nature and support the wildlife that depend on specific wild flowers. The wild flower plants we produce are sold to organisations, voluntary groups and individuals. We are proud to be a charity that is supported by Brighton and Hove City Council.

“One of the biggest challenges of restoring the diversity of our grasslands is the supply of well adapted plants of local provenance. The difficult task of turning seed into plants should not be underestimated, but the volunteers at the Wild Flower Conservation Society are experts in this.” â€‹
